I have found the bloglines search tool brings up a lot of USA sites and the page is rather cluttered and unappealing. Lots of frustration at not seeing the RSS symbol on some sites.
I found the google application a lot easier to use and the sites had RSS feeds. The look was less cluttered, better layout. A range of different feeds to gather information:
